Cleveland Browns starting quarterback Baker Mayfield has played with a partially torn labrum in his non-throwing left shoulder. The injury occurred in week two against the Houston Texans. Mayfield has been wearing a shoulder harness since the injury occurred.
Mayfield has not missed any practices but has been sacked 8 times in the last two games. Mayfield states the injury is not affecting his play. Mayfield has completed 53% of his passes and is averaging only 200 passing yards since the injury. Should this injury get worse and Mayfield’s play continues to slip, a change may be forthcoming. The backup for the Browns is Case Keenum.
