After losing four of their last five, the 3-7 Seattle Seahawks head east to take on the 4-7 Washington Football Team, who have won back to back games.
Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson missed three games with an injured finger, but has returned for the last two games throwing for just 368 yards with zero touchdowns and two interceptions. He’s averaging 238 passing yards per game with ten touchdowns and three interceptions on the season. Wide receiver Tyler Lockett leads the team in receiving with 47 receptions for 717 yards and three touchdowns, while DK Metcalf leads the team in touchdown receptions with eight. He has caught 46 passes for 637 yards. The next leading receiver is tight end Gerald Everett with 235 yards on 25 receptions.
Alex Collins leads the rushing attack now that Chris Carson has missed five games with a neck injury. Collins has rushed for 381 yards on 94 carries with two touchdowns. Travis Homer and Rashaad Penny are out for this game so backup duties will go to Dee Jay Dallas, who has rushed for just 60 yards this season.
Quarterback Taylor Heinicke leads the Washington offense, averaging 266.4 passing yards per game with 15 touchdowns and 9 interceptions. He’s also second on the team in rushing with 276 yards. Heinicke’s favorite target in the passing attack has been Terry McLaurin, hauling in 54 of 91 targets for 735 yards and five touchdowns. Running back JD McKissic is second on the team in receiving with 38 receptions for 371 yards. Washington’s passing attack would be bolstered if wide receiver Curtis Samuel and tight end Logan Thomas are activated. Samuel has only played in two games, while Thomas has played in four.
Antonio Gibson leads the rushing attack with 601 yards on 154 carries with five touchdowns. Gibson also has 19 receptions for 158 yards. McKissic is more of a receiving threat, but he has added 182 yards on the ground.
