It’s an NFC West showdown as the 8-4 Los Angeles Rams take on the 10-2 Arizona Cardinals. Los Angeles is coming off a 37-7 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, while Arizona has won two straight, most recently defeating the Chicago Bears 33-22.
In his first season in Los Angeles, Matthew Stafford is averaging 304.2 passing yards per game with 30 touchdowns and 9 interceptions. Wide receiver Cooper Kupp has been the best receiver in the league with 100 receptions for 1366 yards and 11 touchdowns. After Robert Woods was lost for the season with a knee injury, Los Angeles is looking for Van Jefferson and Odell Beckham Jr. to fill the void. Jefferson has 39 receptions for 621 yards and five touchdowns. In three games, Beckham Jr. has 9 receptions for 127 yards and two touchdowns. Tight end Tyler Higbee has 44 receptions for 395 yards and three touchdowns.
When healthy, Darrell Henderson Jr. is the lead back, but he’s been hampered with a thigh injury and may miss Monday’s game due to COVID-19 protocols. Henderson Jr. has rushed for 648 yards on 142 carries with five touchdowns. He also has 27 receptions for 172 yards with three touchdowns. Sony Michel had a big game last week, rushing for 121 yards on 24 carries with a touchdown. Michel has 426 yards and two touchdowns on the season.
Kyler Murray returned from an injury last week that kept him out for three games. He threw for 123 yards with two touchdowns, while adding 59 more yards on the ground and two rushing touchdowns. In nine games, Murray is averaging 289.4 passing yards per game with 19 touchdowns and 7 interceptions. He has rushed for 206 with five touchdowns.
DeAndre Hopkins also returned from injury last week, catching two passes for 32 yards and a touchdown. Hopkins leads the team in touchdown receptions with eight in just nine games. He has 37 receptions for 518 yards. Christian Kirk leads the team in receiving with 632 yards on 50 receptions with four touchdowns. A.J. Green has had a bounce back year with 35 receptions for 552 yards and three touchdowns. Rookie wide receiver Rondale Moore has been a key contributor as well with 48 receptions for 421 yards and one touchdown. Tight end Zach Ertz was acquired midway through the season and in six games, has 23 receptions for 279 yards and three touchdowns.
With Chase Edmonds on injured reserve, James Connor has been given the lead back role. Connor leads the team in rushing with 630 yards on 166 carries with 12 touchdowns. He’s added 20 receptions for 209 yards and two more touchdowns. Edmonds is eligible to return tomorrow and will be a game time decision. In nine games, Edmonds has rushed for 430 yards on 76 carries with two touchdowns. He has 30 receptions for 211 yards.
