Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Philadelphia Eagles
Odds: Tampa Bay -6.5, over/under 52.5
Weather: 70 degrees, 2% chance of precipitation, 4 MPH winds
Tom Brady leads the 4-1 Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the City of Brotherly Love to take on Jalen Hurts and the 2-3 Philadelphia Eagles. Tampa Bay is coming off a 45-17 win over the Miami Dolphins, while Philadelphia defeated the Carolina Panthers 21-18.
At 44 years old, Brady is still putting up prolific passing numbers. He’s averaging 360.6 yards per game with 15 touchdowns and two interceptions. Tampa Bay has three different receivers with over 300 yards receiving. Mike Evans leads the group with 393 yards and 4 touchdowns on 29 receptions. Chris Godwin has 366 yards with 2 touchdowns on 29 receptions and Antonio Brown has 325 yards with 3 touchdowns on 20 receptions.
Leonard Fournette leads the rushing attack with 251 yards on 56 carries. He’s also added another 167 yards through the air on 19 receptions. Backup running back Ronald Jones II hasn’t contributed much, only picking up 98 yards on 26 yards. Gio Bernard has been a weapon in the passing game with 15 receptions for 93 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Tampa Bay will be without two of their top three tacklers in linebacker Lavonte David and safety Antoine Winfield Jr.
Hurts is averaging 324.2 yards passing per game with 7 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. He also leads the team in rushing with 256 yards on 43 carries with 3 touchdowns. Rookie wide receiver Devonta Smith has been his favorite target by far with 39. Smith has hauled in 25 passes for 314 yards and one touchdown. Quez Watkins has been the big play threat, averaging 20.5 yards per reception and 267 yards. Tight end Dallas Goedert has been a reliable target for Hurts with 15 receptions for 216 yards and 2 touchdowns, but he’ll miss the game as he’s been put on the COVID-19 reserve list. Luckily, Philadelphia has another reliable tight end in Zach Ertz who has 14 receptions for 160 yards and one touchdown. Wide receiver Jalen Reagor and running backs Miles Sanders and Kenneth Gainwell contribute to the passing attack as well.
Sanders is second on the team in rushing with 214 yards on 48 carries, while rookie Gainwell has added 100 yards on 21 carries with two touchdowns.
Fantasy impact:
This should be a high scoring affair so don’t be afraid to start your Tampa Bay or Philadelphia players. Goedert being out is good news for Ertz owners. Watkins and Reagor could see an uptick in targets as well.
