Denver Broncos @ Cleveland Browns

Odds: Cleveland -2, over/under 41

Weather: 60 degrees, 15% chance of precipitation, 20 MPH winds

Once 3-0, the Denver Broncos have now lost three games and head to Cleveland to take on the injury riddled 3-3 Browns. Denver is coming off a 34-24 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, while Cleveland lost 37-14 to the Arizona Cardinals.

Cleveland will be without starting quarterback Baker Mayfield and running backs Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt. Starting in Mayfield’s place will be Case Keenum, while D’Ernest Johnson and Demetric Felton will lead the backfield. Johnson has three carries for eleven yards through six games and one reception for seven yards. Felton has eight receptions for 90 yards and a touchdown through six games.

Chubb and Hunt have combined for over 1000 yards of offense so Johnson and Felton have big shoes to fill.

Odell Beckham Jr., who missed the first two games, has 14 receptions for 203 yards. Tight end David Njoku leads the team in receiving with 15 receptions for 266 yards and one touchdown. Donovan Peoples-Jones has 15 receptions for 228 yards and two touchdowns. He had a big game last week, hauling in four passes for 101 yards and two touchdowns.

Defensive end Myles Garrett, a favorite for Defensive Player of the Year, has eight sacks through six games.

Teddy Bridgewater leads the Denver offense, averaging 263.3 yards passing per game with 10 touchdowns and four interceptions. His favorite target has been wide receiver Courtland Sutton, who has hauled in 33 passes for 471 yards and two touchdowns. Tim Patrick has 25 receptions for 344 yards and three touchdowns with three touchdowns, while tight end Noah Fant has 30 receptions for 273 yards and three touchdowns.

Melvin Gordon and rookie Javonte Williams have shared the backfield duties. Gordon has 332 yards rushing on 70 carries, while Williams has 300 yards rushing on 65 carries. Gordon has added 119 yards on 13 receptions, while Williams has 90 yards on 14 receptions.

Fantasy impact:

With Keenum leading a depleted Cleveland offense, Denver’s defense looks like a strong start this week. Benching Beckham Jr. in favor of better options is a possibility as well.
